Christian Hartz
Technology Implementation Manager at Wolters Kluwer 

Christian, an alumnus of Saarland University with a law degree, launched his career as a legal practitioner, serving as a lawyer and external Compliance Counsel for a German multinational hardware retailer. In 2019, he embarked on a new venture with Wolters Kluwer, taking on the role of a Legal Engineer. His focus has been on the integration of Artificial Intelligence into the workflows of legal professionals. As a Product Owner, he was deeply involved in the development of Machine Learning features for both an advanced workflow solution for construction law and an advanced legal research solution called Legal Analytics. He was working both within the Wolters Kluwer Germany team and the Global Product and Innovation group.
In 2023, Christian joined the Digital Experience Group of Wolters Kluwer, where he now is responsible for global AI demand and Legal (Prompt) Engineering.
In addition to his corporate endeavors, Christian is dedicated to academia, lecturing on criminal and criminal media law at his alma mater. He also imparts his knowledge of Legal Tech at the University of Cologne in the Master of Laws course “Law of Digitalization”. His dual role as a corporate innovator and educator underscores his commitment to shaping the future of legal technology.
